Snow budgeting

Background & Goal

Creating sales forecasts is time-consuming and requires significant expertise from users. Many companies rely on Excel-based solutions, which often lead to errors, inconsistent versions, and inefficient workflows. This project aimed to design a clear and user-friendly system for budgeting and forecasting that would streamline these processes.

The goal was to establish a visual identity, user interface, and marketing materials for the budgeting system to improve usability and appeal.

My role & Responsibilities

As the UX & UI Designer, I was responsible for the product’s interface and user experience. I guided the project team toward a user-focused approach by conducting hierarchical task analyses (HTA), defining personas, creating wireframes, mockups, and GUI guidelines, and ensuring the design aligned with user needs. I collaborated closely with the project leader, developers, and stakeholders to deliver the solution.

Results

• Delivered “Snow,” a system that simplifies budgeting and forecasting with a clean and focused user interface.

• Created a playful and approachable tone to make the system feel supportive and user-friendly.

• Visual guidelines and an icon library were developed to support future updates and marketing materials.

• The system’s design helps users focus on their numbers while conveying calmness and positivity through its green color palette.
